This is a senior individual contributor role that sits at the intersection of Customer Marketing, Customer Experience, Product, Product Marketing, Sales, and Professional Services. You’ll own integrated customer campaigns, scaled communications, and triggered lifecycle programs designed around the moments that matter most in the customer journey. This is a builder role. You’ll be creating new programs, frameworks, and ways of working, often without an established playbook. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, moving quickly in a dynamic environment, and bringing structure to cross-functional challenges. In the near term, a key priority for this role will be driving Demandbase AI (DBAI) adoption, building targeted campaigns utilizing multiple channels that move customers from awareness and education to product usage and ongoing engagement. What You’ll Do Integrated Customer Campaigns Develop and execute integrated campaigns that drive product adoption, expansion, and customer engagement across lifecycle touchpoints. Lead near-term campaigns focused on DBAI adoption, developing audience strategies, messaging, offers, and journeys that encourage customers to discover and use Demandbase AI. Build and execute land-and-expand campaigns that help Demandbase grow within enterprise customers by identifying and engaging new business units, child accounts, buying groups, and stakeholders beyond the existing customer footprint. Partner with Sales and Customer Experience to develop account-based expansion plays that combine scaled marketing programs with personalized account team outreach. Partner with Product Marketing on product launches and translate launches into customer-facing campaigns that drive awareness, education, adoption, and continued usage. Build campaigns across channels including email, in-product experiences, customer events and user groups, webinars, educational content, and Sales/CS outreach. Measure campaign performance and use engagement, product adoption, and expansion signals to continuously optimize programs. Customer Lifecycle Programs Map the customer journey and identify key moments that matter where scaled marketing programs can improve the customer experience and business outcomes. Partner with Customer Experience, Product, Sales, and Professional Services to build triggered lifecycle programs based on customer behavior, lifecycle stage, and product usage. Develop programs for moments such as customer welcome and onboarding, new-user activation, product adoption, renewal preparation, expansion opportunities, and re-engagement. Develop differentiated engagement strategies based on customer persona and role, from individual users and practitioners to executive stakeholders. Build repeatable programs that complement high-touch Customer Success engagement and allow Demandbase to deliver a more personalized customer experience at scale. Customer Communications, Segmentation & Database Management Own the strategy and execution of scaled customer communications, creating a coordinated approach across Marketo, ChurnZero, Pendo, and other customer-facing channels. Develop a customer segmentation and activation framework that connects customer data and capabilities across platforms, determining how account attributes, product usage, lifecycle stage, persona, and behavioral signals inform who we communicate with, when, and through which channel. Partner with Revenue Operations, Customer Experience, Product, and other teams to bridge fragmented customer data and tools and establish clear audience governance around targeting, suppression, frequency, and prioritization. Own the customer communications calendar and work cross-functionally to identify overlaps, gaps, and opportunities across communications originating from Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, and other teams. Serve as a customer communications steward, establishing templates and editorial standards that ensure scaled communications meet a high bar for brand voice, tone, content quality, relevance, and overall customer experience. Plan and execute recurring customer communications, including newsletters, product communications, customer education, and event promotion. What We’re Looking For Experience & Marketing Expertise 7-10 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, customer marketing, integrated campaigns, CRM marketing, or a related discipline, ideally within B2B SaaS. Demonstrated experience building integrated campaigns tied to measurable outcomes such as product adoption, expansion, engagement, or retention. Excellent editorial judgment and a strong understanding of brand, voice, tone, and content quality, with the ability to turn product concepts into clear and compelling customer communications. Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to independently bring structure, strategy, and momentum to programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders. Technical & AI Fluency Hands-on experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation platforms, with a strong understanding of segmentation, targeting, database management, and campaign operations. Experience with platforms such as ChurnZero and Pendo is a plus. Experience working across multiple customer data sources and activation platforms to build practical audience segmentation and triggered lifecycle programs. Comfortable using AI as part of the day-to-day marketing workflow to improve efficiency, personalization, content development, analysis, and campaign execution. Experience marketing or driving adoption of AI-powered products or features is a plus, including the ability to translate AI capabilities into practical customer use cases and value. Analytical mindset and comfort using campaign, customer, and product usage data to identify opportunities, develop audiences, and measure impact. We sell safety software to businesses and online safety training to the people who need it - and we are looking for an Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own our marketing outreach end to end: the program, the audiences it reaches, and the data underneath it. About the Role: We are hiring you to be the expert, so you set the strategy, run it past marketing leadership, and go. Our ideal candidate is analytical first: comfortable in messy data, willing to dig for the truth, and organized enough to keep every audience defined and every journey mapped instead of running on instinct. This role owns two things that depend on each other: the data underneath our marketing funnel, and every message that runs on top of it. We run a course business and a software business side by side, and that gives this program an unusual amount of room. A software buyer, a course buyer, and a prospect who is still deciding all need different content. Your first job is making the funnel measurable and trusted . You will help settle what a lead means at each stage and keep records staged against it, decide what we send and to whom, hold the line on consent, and produce the reporting we judge marketing performance by. You will build it yourself, working closely with our web team wherever tracking spans our properties, and with the support of marketing leadership and a growing marketing team. HubSpot is our system of record, and you will own many of its processes. This is a build role - it's the foundation to our email and lead tracking. Our email outreach currently runs across several disconnected systems, our nurture program is only partly built, and there are many customers who have never received a lifecycle message from us. Best practices, automated flows, and new designs are all still to be built, and all of it has to hold up to the compliance obligations we operate under. How well we capture leads and run lifecycle marketing shapes the experience every potential customer has with us. This is an in-person role based out of our Sherwood Park, Alberta office. In this role, you'll be expected to: Build and run the email program across our course business, our software funnel, and the messages our training platform sends learners, including a general subscription program and the capture mechanism we do not have today Build the audiences and journeys : who sits in each group, what they care about, and what they should receive at each stage Own consent and compliance under CASL and CAN-SPAM as standing practice rather than a one time cleanup Own much of how HubSpot runs as our system of record : lifecycle stages, properties, workflows, and reporting Fix and hold lead data accuracy so records are added and staged correctly and the funnel can be trusted Build attribution you can stand behind , so we can say what email actually produced in leads and course revenue Build the reporting and scoreboards leadership makes decisions from , and be accountable for those numbers being right Automate lead routing , and manage the flow of outbound leads from our external partner into our systems Work across product and web on system side email such as course launches, abandoned carts, and upsells, and so tracking stays consistent and correct across our properties Protect reseller cross-branding so partner customers never receive email that promotes BIS over the partner Bring in outside specialists for technical or copy work where it makes sense, and review what they produce before it ships You might be the right fit if you: Built an email program from scratch rather than inheriting and running someone else's Built multiple trigger and audience based flows driven by real behaviour, not one list on a schedule Ran lists in the thousands to tens of thousands with distinct segments, and can explain how the content changed at each stage Untangled a CRM that years of good intentions had made incoherent , figured out what was actually happening in it, and rebuilt it into something that held together Build in the platform yourself. You write the workflows and set the properties rather than briefing someone else to do it Read the numbers instinctively. The systems here only come together through data, and that matters to us more than design polish Distinguish a software buyer from a course buyer and build accordingly Treat consent and deliverability as part of the craft rather than someone else's problem Own what goes out. Once send is pressed it is gone, so typos and broken links are not part of the deal Work across teams to define an integration objective and get it built, without needing to write the code yourself Qualifications we are looking for: 4+ years in email marketing , lifecycle marketing or marketing operations experience Deep hands-on experience in HubSpot or a comparable platform (Klaviyo, Listrak, Mailchimp, etc): workflows, lifecycle stages, custom properties, and reporting Working knowledge of Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) and the equivalent obligations elsewhere (US) Lead generation or lead funnel experience , with real understanding of how lifecycle stages work Practical understanding of attribution and data hygiene inside a CRM , and the confidence to say when a number is wrong A track record of building email or nurture programs that produced measurable results you can point to Bonus points if you have: B2B SaaS experience, where the lead is the conversion Run both a consumer or eCommerce funnel and a B2B funnel at the same company Integration work: APIs, Zapier, or moving data between systems that were not designed to talk to each other Migrated or consolidated marketing platforms Put AI tools to work in your own workflow: analysis, QA, copy, or build Compensation and benefits: Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Full medical, dental, and vision coverage Life insurance and disability insurance Health spending account Flexible working hours On-the-job training and growth opportunities Free on-site parking About BIS: BIS Safety Software has been headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta, since 2006. We build software that helps organizations manage safety training, learning, and compliance - and we’re growing! A few things that make us different: we don’t use job titles internally - we value humility and contribution over hierarchy. We move fast, integrate new ideas quickly, and give people real ownership of their work. And through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), you have the opportunity to own a piece of the company you’re helping build. How to apply: Visit our Careers Page for more information.
